ByteDance has unveiled the technical specifics of its cutting-edge thinking model, Seed-Thinking-v1.5, and announced plans to open application programming interfaces (APIs) for user experience via Volcano Engine on April 17. This advanced model excels in diverse tasks encompassing mathematics, programming, scientific reasoning, and creative writing. Leveraging a Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture, Seed-Thinking-v1.5 boasts a total of 200 billion parameters, with 20 billion active parameters, achieving a notable 50% reduction in inference costs compared to its predecessor, DeepSeek R1.
