The European Union has unveiled an ambitious plan to establish 13 AI megafactories, equipped with state-of-the-art supercomputers and data centers. On February 11, during the AI Action Summit held in Paris, France, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen introduced the "Invest in AI" initiative, which aims to catalyze €200 billion in investments to propel AI advancements. Of this sum, €20 billion is earmarked specifically for the construction of these European AI megafactories. As outlined in the "Artificial Intelligence Continental Action Plan," the pinnacle facilities within these megafactories will boast up to 25,000 high-performance AI processors, with each factory collectively housing more than 100,000 processors.
