On April 9, 2025, the European Commission unveiled the "Artificial Intelligence Continental Action Plan," with the objective of streamlining regulations related to AI and establishing a network of "AI Factories" to bolster the EU's competitiveness in the realm of artificial intelligence. Executive Vice-President Margrethe Vestager underscored that the plan aims to alleviate the regulatory burden on the industry and ensure that the "AI Act" is both straightforward and conducive to innovation. The "AI Act," which officially came into effect in August 2024, serves as the world's first comprehensive framework governing artificial intelligence. Its phased implementation has been crafted to provide businesses with a grace period to adapt their systems accordingly.
