Microsoft is reportedly closing its IoT and AI lab situated in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. This lab, dedicated to the development of IoT and AI technologies, ceased operations at the start of 2025, with all office signage and equipment having been removed. Established in May 2019, the lab has supported numerous innovative projects over the past five years and facilitated external funding for several companies.
