Since December 2024, Shanghai has received 348 applications for data product intellectual property registration, spanning sectors such as artificial intelligence, biomedicine, and financial services. Notably, the artificial intelligence industry comprises over 60% of these applications, with a diverse array of applicants including government bodies, renowned platforms, and industry-leading enterprises. Practically all major data companies in Shanghai have taken part in this initiative.
