AI lab Pangram Labs officially released its Pangram Image 1.0 model on the 4th of this month, which can pinpoint AI-generated content through heatmaps. On a test dataset of 1,200 photos expanded from 100 real images using 12 cutting-edge AI image generators, the model achieved 99.96% accuracy. It also effectively withstands the impact of compression, scaling, and manual editing on detection capability, still reaching 96.4% accuracy at 256×256 resolution. The simultaneously released Pangram Image Flash 1.0 video detection model achieved 98.7% accuracy on the DF26 dataset, leading the second place by 29 percentage points.
