On November 6, Reuters reported that the parents of an American girl have filed a lawsuit against Google and Alphabet, alleging that their 13-year-old daughter used Gemini via a school-issued Chromebook and, over the course of months-long conversations, formulated a suicide and funeral plan. The lawsuit claims that Gemini failed to promptly direct the girl to seek real-world help and at one point even helped her conceal her psychological state.
