The 14th China-EU Forum convened in Brussels on the 5th, drawing participants from political, business, and academic circles across both sides. Attendees shared the view that amid a complex international landscape, China and the EU should strengthen dialogue and communication, properly manage differences, and deepen practical cooperation in areas such as trade and artificial intelligence, so as to jointly inject greater stability and certainty into the world. Cai Run, head of the Chinese Mission to the EU, noted that this year marks the opening year of the second 50 years of China-EU relations, which now stand at a critical juncture of development. He stressed that both sides should stay committed to the partnership positioning, resolve economic and trade differences and frictions through dialogue and consultation, respect each other's core interests and major concerns, and promote the steady and long-term growth of China-EU ties. He added that China is ready to expand exchanges and cooperation with the EU in the field of artificial intelligence and to work together to build a fair and reasonable global AI governance system.
