On November 5, the 9th China International Import Expo opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) and will run through November 10. KPMG released its "2026 China CEO Outlook" report at the expo. According to the report, 86% of Chinese CEOs are confident in their company's growth over the next three years, up 8 percentage points from last year and the highest level since 2020. In addition, 74% of Chinese CEOs expect their company's revenue to grow at an average annual rate of at least 2.5% over the next three years, up 19 percentage points from last year. Artificial intelligence is a key theme of this survey: 76% of Chinese CEOs listed it as a priority investment area over the next three years, up 17 percentage points from last year—a larger increase than the global level. Furthermore, 86% of surveyed Chinese CEOs plan to redesign roles, career development paths, and team structures within the next two to five years to reflect human-machine collaboration.
