India's micro-drama market is rapidly gaining momentum, with monthly active users surpassing 118 million and annual market revenue projected to reach $3 billion to $4 billion by 2030. Story TV, a micro-drama platform under EloElo—founded in 2020 by former Flipkart executives—is a leading local app with over 33 million active users and ranked among India's most downloaded video streaming apps in 2025. The platform offers more than 5,000 short dramas in six languages, with users averaging 95 minutes of cumulative daily usage. EloElo has completed an $80 million Series C funding round, bringing its total funding to $130 million at a valuation of $500 million. To adapt to fragmented mobile viewing habits and boost content production, Story TV has launched the Dolphin AI platform, capable of generating images and audiovisual content. The company plans to expand its AI and machine learning team and invest in producing original micro-dramas.
