Former Tesla AI director and OpenAI founding member Andrej Karpathy recently released his weekend project HackerTube. Dissatisfied with YouTube's algorithm recommendations, he used Anthropic's AI coding tool Claude Code to screen 6,454 repeatedly user-recommended videos from 43 million comments on Hacker News over the past 20 years, and built a brand-new video recommendation website, all in only about 2 hours.
