Data on logistics operations for the first three quarters, released on November 1, indicates that China's logistics sector has generally shown a trend of steady progress with improved quality and efficiency: total social logistics and total logistics industry revenue grew year on year; the ratio of total social logistics costs to GDP declined year on year; logistics costs were reduced by over 200 billion yuan; micro-level enterprise benefits improved marginally; and market expectations remain favorable. The demand structure is shifting toward newer and better areas, with high-end manufacturing and green circular fields forming new sources of support; imports of high-tech products and high-quality fresh consumer goods grew; logistics for livelihood consumption was steadily unleashed; and emerging logistics demand—such as for new energy and artificial intelligence terminals—showed strong growth momentum. At the same time, logistics infrastructure construction accelerated; international logistics corridors continued to be expanded and strengthened; multimodal transport expanded in volume and improved in quality; digital, intelligent, and green transformation was accelerated; and supply guarantee capacity continued to increase—providing solid support for the domestic and international dual circulation.
