Libopharma has recently completed nearly RMB 100 million in Series A financing. The round was jointly led by Loyal Valley Capital, Innovation Works USD Fund, and an industrial healthcare fund, with existing shareholder YuanSheng Venture Capital increasing its investment. Founded in 2022, Libopharma focuses on AI4S-enabled development of innovative targeted RNA small molecule drugs. The company has pioneered the establishment of a relevant AI4S framework, possesses the world's largest experimentally validated atlas of human RNA tertiary structures, and has essentially solved the universal druggability problem of human mRNA. Its core pipeline, RP-0172, targets HTT mRNA—the pathogenic gene behind Huntington's disease—and has advanced from a laboratory concept to Phase I clinical trials in only three years. The company has laid out multiple pipelines featuring novel targets and mechanisms across three major therapeutic areas: central nervous system, oncology, and autoimmune diseases. This round of financing will be used for clinical development of existing pipelines and global commercialization layout. Founder and CEO Dr. Zhan Jian and various investors each made statements regarding this financing and expressed their optimism about the company's technology and pipelines.
