Several executives from Samsung Electronics' major subsidiaries met with OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman on Saturday at the Samsung Human Resources Center in Yongin, south of Seoul, to discuss future strategies for AI transformation. The meeting was part of Samsung's leadership seminar series, which aims to drive AI transformation. Both sides exchanged views on the future direction of AI technology, potential application scenarios, and business opportunities, with particular focus on how AI will reshape corporate decision-making and operating models, as well as the core competencies corporate leaders will need to possess. Altman emphasized that a company's competitive advantage does not depend on whether it adopts AI technology, but on how it leverages the technology to achieve more efficient operations and create better products, thereby standing out in competition.
