OpenAI updated its help documentation on October 31, announcing that ChatGPT's web, iOS, and Android apps now support account switching. Users can log in to up to two accounts at the same time and switch between them without logging out of the current account. After switching, conversation history, memory, files, settings, subscriptions, and workspaces all correspond to the selected account, remain independent of each other, and are not automatically migrated or merged. The mobile feature is being rolled out gradually; if no entry point is visible in settings, it may not yet be available. The documentation reminds users that subscriptions and billing for the two accounts are independent of each other, and users should confirm which account they are currently using before making a purchase.
