The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has unveiled the 'Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Next-Generation Intelligent Manufacturing in Shanghai.' This plan outlines a strategic vision to fortify the industrial network and computing power infrastructure. It aims to empower manufacturing enterprises by facilitating their transition to cutting-edge industrial networks and fostering the harmonious development of control systems, industrial networks, and computing power facilities. Simultaneously, the plan is propelling forward pilot projects focused on independent industrial 5G and EUHT private networks, thereby underpinning the rollout of premium networks such as 5G-A and 10-Gigabit optical networks. Moreover, the plan underscores the urgency of expediting breakthroughs in high-performance AI chips, establishing a 'hub-regional-edge' computing power facility system, enhancing the coordinated scheduling of intelligent computing resources, accelerating the construction of national computing power interconnection nodes, ensuring standardized access and on-demand allocation of computing power resources, and driving the upgrading and efficiency enhancement of industrial intelligent computing cloud platforms.
