On October 26th, news broke that artificial intelligence firm Anthropic has formally submitted its application for an initial public offering (IPO) to Nasdaq, designating 'ANT' as its ticker symbol. According to the filing, in the six-month period concluding on June 30, 2026, the company's revenue skyrocketed to $16.3 billion, a significant leap from the $1.2 billion recorded during the same period the previous year. Nevertheless, its net loss also expanded, reaching $80.7 billion, in contrast to $13 billion in the corresponding period last year. Anthropic acknowledged that such a rapid revenue growth trajectory might not be sustainable, and the outlook for future profitability remains ambiguous.

As of June 30, the company had amassed a cumulative total of $141.1 billion in funding. By September 30, its net revenue retention rate had soared to 900%, and the count of customers generating annual revenue exceeding $100,000 had surged from 950 to over 11,900.

The filing further disclosed that Anthropic has established a long-term interest trust and intends to issue Class T special shares, which will be held by directors. Concurrently, the board of directors has ratified a public interest share framework. This framework stipulates that for every 50% surge in the stock price, up to 2% of the total share capital in Class N shares will be allocated to public interest funds.

The company has pledged to make substantial investments in pioneering artificial intelligence safety initiatives. Moreover, it anticipates refraining from paying dividends in the foreseeable future. The filing also highlighted that, under an agreement with SpaceX AI, Anthropic has committed to cumulative expenditures of up to $120.5 billion by 2029.
