According to the latest report from South Korean think tank Rockbridge Network Korea, from January to August 2026, Korean developers released a total of 1,845 models on the Hugging Face platform. Among these, 49.3% were based on Chinese models, 35.9% on U.S. models, and 14.9% on South Korean domestic models. Alibaba's Qwen model had the highest share, accounting for 46.8%, with a total of 864 models, surpassing both U.S. and South Korean domestic models.
