On October 25th, the Brigham and Women's Hospital of Massachusetts General Hospital in the United States issued a communique stating that its researchers have utilized over 40 million facial images to train an AI foundational model named FAHR-Face (Foundational AI Model for Health Recognition), based on which two AI tools have been developed. One is used to estimate a person's biological age, while the other can predict the survival of cancer patients based on facial photos. The relevant research paper has been published in the British medical journal The Lancet Digital Health.
