iFLYTEK has unveiled its financial results for the third quarter, revealing an operating revenue of 6.564 billion yuan, which represents a 7.99% increase compared to the same period last year. The net profit attributable to shareholders reached 226 million yuan, up by 31.05% year-on-year. Over the first three quarters, the company's cumulative operating revenue stood at 18.187 billion yuan, experiencing a 7.05% year-on-year growth. The net profit attributable to shareholders for this period amounted to 21.8872 million yuan, soaring by 132.83% from the previous year.
The company has been actively advancing its business strategy focus and making structural adjustments, including proactively scaling back some G-end smart city projects. Notably, both the smart education and smart healthcare sectors achieved growth exceeding 20%, accompanied by the ongoing optimization of the G-end business structure.
In the third quarter, iFLYTEK's investment in research and development (R&D) surpassed 1.7 billion yuan, marking a nearly 400 million yuan increase year-on-year and accounting for over 25% of its revenue. Due to the substantial R&D investment, the net profit for the current period, excluding non-recurring gains and losses, witnessed a year-on-year decrease of 150 million yuan. It's worth mentioning that the company reported a net loss of 34 million yuan in the second quarter. However, in the third quarter, it managed to turn the tide, achieving a profit on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
