On October 19, the National Bureau of Statistics unveiled China’s economic performance data for the third quarter. Wu Ge, Chief Economist at Changjiang Securities, highlighted that China’s GDP expanded by 4.6% year-on-year in the first three quarters, with exports emerging as the primary contributor to this growth trajectory. Projections for the next one to two years indicate that, despite geopolitical complexities in the global macroeconomic landscape, China’s manufacturing exports—especially those centered around AI-related products—are poised to maintain a favorable outlook. Since the year’s onset, AI and its associated offerings have solidified their position as pivotal drivers of China’s export surge. In the long run, the global manufacturing supercycle is far from over. On one front, AI is fueling a surge in computational capacity and infrastructure investments; concurrently, nations worldwide are reshaping their industrial supply chains, prompting heightened expenditures in these domains. This trend is anticipated to sustain external demand. In essence, the external conditions conducive to China’s manufacturing exports remain robust and unaltered.
