On October 19, Wang Guanhua, the spokesperson for the National Bureau of Statistics, announced at a press conference hosted by the State Council Information Office that during the first three quarters of the year, the ‘AI Plus’ initiative has significantly fueled investment and export growth in emerging sectors. The widespread adoption of AI applications has triggered a wave of continuous investment and capacity expansion throughout the industrial chain. Specifically, investments in electronic circuit manufacturing, integrated circuit manufacturing, and information services surged by 58.7%, 14.2%, and 20.2%, respectively.

Supported by policies that promote the ‘two new’ strategies (referring to the development of new quality productive forces and new growth drivers), companies have expedited their intelligent transformation processes. This shift has resulted in a 9.7% increase in equipment purchase investments. Moreover, leveraging its comprehensive supply chain strengths, China has swiftly introduced AI hardware and software products tailored to diverse scenarios, effectively meeting the demands of overseas markets. In the first three quarters, exports of electronic components and wire and cable products soared by 70% and 25.3%, respectively. Meanwhile, end-use products such as AI glasses and intelligent bionic robots continue to enrich global AI application scenarios, showcasing China’s growing influence in the global AI landscape.
