Hesai Technology has recently introduced its groundbreaking 3D world data engine, Kosmo. This innovative system comprises the spatial camera Kosmo One and the cloud platform Kosmo World. Kosmo One seamlessly integrates LiDAR technology, an advanced imaging system, and a high-precision Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This integration allows for millimeter-level precision in scanning and reconstructing a 100-square-meter space within just 15 minutes in a typical indoor setting, offering a significant efficiency boost over traditional manual modeling methods. The Kosmo engine is capable of generating multiple scene representations that are perfectly aligned. It supports scene semantic editing and leverages AI to intelligently complete occluded areas. Additionally, based on a single scan, it can automatically generate tens of thousands of customized training trajectories to meet diverse requirements, thereby greatly enhancing the reusability and value of spatial data. Currently, the data generated by Kosmo has found applications in various fields, including robot simulation training, film and television production, and spatial browsing. Hesai has also outlined two distinct business models: one centered around hardware and software product services, and the other focused on large-scale spatial data production. The company is dedicated to establishing itself as a key infrastructure provider in the physical AI industry, offering essential support for real-world spatial data across sectors such as spatial intelligence and embodied intelligence.
