On October 13, the 2026 China International Industry Fair hosted a pivotal sub-forum titled "Smart Manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta: Collaborating to Embark on a New Journey—Yangtze River Delta Industrial Intelligence Innovation and Development Forum" at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The event brought together industry leaders, academics, and researchers who collectively witnessed a series of impactful activities. These included the unveiling of platforms, the signing of industry-academia-research partnerships, the formation of innovation consortia, the release of groundbreaking achievements, and insightful keynote speeches. All these efforts converged to foster collaborative innovation in industrial intelligence across the Yangtze River Delta region.

During the forum, the "Yangtze River Delta Industrial Innovation Collaboration Promotion Center (in preparation)" made its official debut. This center is poised to become a cornerstone for cross-regional resource integration, technology validation, and scenario alignment, with the overarching goal of establishing a premier public support platform to drive industrial innovation forward.

In a significant move, the Yangtze River Delta Investment Company inked a cooperation agreement with Ningbo Oriental University of Technology. Together, they will establish the Yangtze River Delta Industrial Software Incubation Base, which is envisioned as a high-caliber platform for school-enterprise collaborative innovation, fostering the next generation of digital and intelligent manufacturing solutions.
