Insiders with knowledge of the situation report that on Monday, Tencent Holdings disclosed to fixed-income investors its intention to issue bonds worth roughly $5 billion. These funds are earmarked for supporting capital expenditures related to artificial intelligence, marking a further escalation of the company's commitment to the AI sector. During an investor conference call, Tencent indicated that the pricing of these bonds could commence as early as Tuesday. The bond issuance comprises $1.5 billion to $2 billion in U.S. dollar-denominated bonds, alongside 20 billion to 25 billion yuan (equivalent to approximately $3 billion to $3.7 billion) in offshore yuan-denominated bonds.
