According to TechCrunch, Andreessen Horowitz partner Olivia Moore has released a report on the top 100 consumer AI applications. The report shows that ChatGPT is leading, while smaller companies like Suno are also competitive. Currently, only 2.2% of American households pay for AI, with industry revenue concentrated on subscriptions and token consumption, primarily targeting enterprise users. Moore believes that consumer AI needs to explore monetization paths beyond subscriptions, such as advertising models, and leverage open-source or lightweight models to reduce costs. Six major areas (social, dating, marketplace transactions, retail, travel, finance, and health) remain undeveloped, and true consumer AI has yet to arrive.
