Tencent WorkBuddy Unveils Independent File Browser: Effortlessly Open Local Files with AI via Right-Click

On October 8th, Tencent WorkBuddy formally rolled out its "Independent File Browser" functionality, offering users a dedicated interface to view and manage local files. With a simple right-click, users can now opt to open files using WorkBuddy, browse through the content on the left-hand side, and directly converse with AI on the right for swift summarization, analysis, modification, and refinement of the files. This versatile feature accommodates a wide range of file formats, including Word, Excel, PPT, PDF, Markdown, HTML, and images. For files that are editable, users have the option to save the AI-altered content back to the original file upon confirmation, thereby bypassing the need for copying or downloading. Additionally, users can configure WorkBuddy as their default file-opening application, enabling AI to automatically initiate when files are double-clicked.
