The Trump administration announced at a summit in Washington that several Silicon Valley tech giants have pledged $2.4 billion to support scientific research. These donations will provide AI tools and computing resources for the U.S. government's Genesis Initiative. The initiative aims to leverage AI technology to drive scientific research advancements and support more than 15 federal agencies. The announced donation amounts include: $1 billion from NVIDIA, $500 million from AMD, $200 million from OpenAI, and $150 million each from Anthropic and Google.
