A decompilation of the code from the most recent iteration of the Gmail app's APK has disclosed that, upon users clicking the 'Employ Gemini' button, the artificial intelligence will analyze the inbox and compose drafts for emails necessitating replies. This functionality does not function in a fully autonomous manner; the AI will solicit user input when it encounters uncertainty and will necessitate manual approval prior to dispatching emails, thereby acting more akin to an assistant that requests directives before proceeding. At present, this feature has not been formally announced, and its ultimate manifestation may undergo alterations. Such AI agents are progressively assuming manual tasks in everyday communication, thereby alleviating the workload for users.
