Anthropic has released Claude Haiku 5.5, positioned as a low-cost, high-throughput small model specifically designed for large-scale, cost-sensitive tasks such as summarization and database queries. Its operational costs are approximately 75% lower than those of its predecessor, Haiku 4.5. Additionally, for the first time in the Haiku series, it introduces adjustable inference intensity, allowing it to function as a sub-agent in collaboration with Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 for programming tasks. Currently, the model is available on platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
