It approaches related topics with heightened caution, minimizing the display of role-playing scenarios that involve themes such as violence, graphic imagery, sex, and romance. Additionally, it restricts content that promotes extreme aesthetic standards, unhealthy dieting practices, or body shaming. The system determines the user's age group by analyzing various account-related signals. Even if a birth date is provided during the registration process, users may still be categorized as teenagers. For those who are incorrectly identified, OpenAI has partnered with a third-party system to offer a streamlined age verification process. Users can submit a real-time selfie or identification documents for verification. Once confirmed to be 18 years of age or older, the teen protection measures will be lifted, although it may take a short period for the changes to be fully implemented.
