On September 30, economists from SMBC Nikko Securities pointed out in a report that Japan's industrial production may be boosted by artificial intelligence capital expenditure. In August, Japan's industrial output fell by 1.7% month-on-month, with part of the decline attributed to automakers suspending operations at some factories due to the impact of earthquakes and typhoons. Despite high uncertainty regarding the future of crude oil supply, Japan maintains oil reserves equivalent to approximately 200 days of domestic consumption and has made progress in securing alternative supplies. Economists believe that the current risk of a significant oil supply shortage is low.
