According to research by consulting firm McKinsey, the job opportunities created by artificial intelligence may exceed the number of positions it replaces, but a significant number of workers will need to adapt to new occupational environments. A report released by McKinsey on Tuesday indicates that by 2035, approximately 11 million U.S. workers (about 7% of the employed population) may need to change occupations due to the impact of artificial intelligence. This implies that the number of workers switching occupations annually in the U.S. could triple historical levels within the next decade. McKinsey analyzed that this transition will be difficult for many, with about 86% of the affected workers potentially requiring extensive skills training and facing the risk of declining incomes.
