Notably, the usage of dashes has plummeted by approximately 95%, with the frequency per thousand words dropping from 15.2 to 0.8. Semicolon usage has also decreased by 73%, with the frequency per thousand words falling from 6.10 to 1.64. Meanwhile, the average sentence length has shortened from 12.14 words to 10.03 words, resulting in more concise phrasing.
