On September 21 local time, Meta's stock price surged nearly 12%, causing the estimated net worth of the company's founder, Mark Zuckerberg, to increase by approximately $25 billion in a single day, bringing the total to $253.6 billion. According to Forbes, this stock price surge was primarily attributed to Wells Fargo raising its target price for Meta and investors' confidence in Meta's new autonomous AI assistant, Muse. On the same day, Wells Fargo increased its target price for Meta from $640 to $796 while maintaining an "overweight" rating. Meta released Muse earlier this month, an AI assistant capable of autonomously completing tasks such as booking travel, sending emails, and managing connected home devices. Zuckerberg has stated that Muse represents a significant step for Meta towards "personal superintelligence."
