On September 21, 2026, Zhipu issued an apology regarding the security concerns surrounding its ZCode product. The company announced that the necessary rectification measures have been fully implemented, and the product's code will now be open-sourced to facilitate community oversight. Zhipu firmly assured that it has not retained any relevant code data, nor has such data been utilized for model training purposes. Following the rectification process, Zhipu invited the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, along with NSFOCUS, to conduct a thorough security audit. The audit confirmed the absence of any data in the cloud and verified that all relevant risky functions have been duly removed.
