On September 21, Zhipu made an announcement that its ZCode product has undergone thorough security rectifications and is now officially open-source, with its code now subject to community oversight. The company has pledged that the code data referenced by the community has neither been retained nor utilized for model training. In the ZCode v3.14.0 release, the Repo Wiki feature and its corresponding generation pipeline have been eliminated, effectively severing the avenues for generating and uploading snapshots of local repositories. Following reviews by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and NSFOCUS, it has been verified that all pertinent Alibaba Cloud OSS storage buckets and associated data have been entirely erased. Additionally, Zhipu will institute a standardized mechanism for reporting and rewarding the discovery of security vulnerabilities.
