Tencent’s newly developed AI voice assistant, Chatterfly (also known by its rumored name, the "Yuanbao Input Method"), has discreetly commenced a beta testing phase. At present, the product is compatible with macOS and Windows desktop platforms, and users need a beta code to gain access. However, versions for iOS and Android are slated for release in the near future. Chatterfly is designed to facilitate AI-powered typing in a wide range of scenarios. It adeptly interprets user intent by analyzing context, refines the content accordingly, and boasts a "speech-to-draft" capability that allows for instant conversion of spoken words into written drafts. The assistant comes equipped with six integrated scenario-based Skills, including one specifically tailored for taking meeting minutes. Additionally, it offers features such as text generation and real-time translation. Chatterfly can be seamlessly activated across multiple applications and is adept at adapting to diverse environments. Leveraging Tencent’s proprietary Hunyuan large model multimodal technology, all voice transcription records and audio files are securely stored locally on the user’s computer, ensuring privacy and data security.
