Anew Labs, a pharmaceutical company driven by artificial intelligence (AI), has recently concluded its inaugural round of independent funding, amassing a substantial total of $290 million. This funding round drew the attention and investment of prominent firms including Sequoia China, IDG Capital, Hillhouse Venture Capital, 5Y Capital, and GaoRong Capital. Additionally, several domestic pharmaceutical industry groups participated as strategic investors. It has been reported that in June of this year, ByteDance decided to spin off its AI-powered pharmaceutical business segment, rebranding and positioning it independently as Anew Labs.
