The 5th Beidou Mass Application International Summit convened in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, where Liu Zhenfei, the Chairman of AutoNavi, delivered an insightful speech titled 'Guided by Beidou, Unleashing Spatial Intelligence.' He underscored that Beidou offers a reliable understanding of the world, whereas AI tackles its intricacies. The spatial intelligence born from the synergy of these two technologies can propel the transformation of digital advancements into services that enhance people's daily lives. The summit, themed 'Same World, Shared Beidou - Empowering the Globe,' was jointly organized by multiple departments and the Hunan Provincial Government. Since achieving global networking and undergoing on-orbit upgrades, the Beidou system has provided robust spatiotemporal support for a wide range of applications. Presently, AutoNavi relies on Beidou satellite positioning nearly 1 trillion times daily, facilitating a total of 9 billion kilometers of daily navigation mileage for its users. Harnessing the power of spatial intelligence, AutoNavi has rolled out applications across various domains, including travel safety, lifestyle services, and urban governance. Notable examples include the 'Eagle Eye Protection' early warning system and the 'Air AutoNavi' service in Longgang, Shenzhen. Furthermore, AutoNavi's World Map service has extended its reach to over 200 countries and regions, while its ride-hailing service has been introduced in nearly 50 countries and regions. Liu Zhenfei stressed that the advancement of cutting-edge technologies should ultimately be geared towards 'Technology for Good,' citing practical applications such as the 'Reunion' system, barrier-free wheelchair navigation, and the 'Ambulance Escort All the Way' initiative.
