The Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has made its foundation model, Intern-S2, available as open-source software. The model's versatile capabilities have positioned it in the top echelon of open-source models. Its performance in fields such as biology, materials science, chemistry, and a range of complex scientific tasks rivals that of leading closed-source models. Intern-S2 is built on a Memory Decoder architecture and incorporates interchangeable specialized memory modules.
