James van Geelen, the founder of Citrini Research, has sold the company to SemiAnalysis, which focuses on semiconductor and AI infrastructure research, for an undisclosed amount. Van Geelen will continue to serve as CEO of Citrini and plans to establish a new fund. Citrini gained prominence for its report titled 'Global Intelligence Crisis 2028' and currently has approximately 260,000 Substack subscribers. SemiAnalysis's acquisition aims to expand research scale and explore new forms of investment research in the AI era. Following the transaction, Citrini will further integrate with SemiAnalysis's relevant research capabilities.
