Since September, WeChat has initiated grayscale testing for a range of AI-driven features centered around 'Xiaowei', designed to enhance user experience across a multitude of usage scenarios. Within the image-sending interface, a novel 'AI Processing' capability has been introduced, encompassing functions such as image beautification, modification, and the extraction of pertinent information. The 'Frequently Read Accounts' section and the detailed article pages for official accounts now boast an 'AI Summary' feature, streamlining content consumption. On the Moments platform, users can leverage 'AI Commenting' and 'AI Assisted Writing' functionalities when sharing images, fostering more engaging interactions. Moreover, the 'Scan' function has been augmented with visual AI, facilitating tasks like object recognition, translation, and query resolution. The chat input box can also harness AI capabilities through voice commands, enabling functions such as text polishing, translation, and intelligent reply generation. Presently, these innovative features are accessible only to a select group of users for testing purposes.
