The Beijing FinTech Industry Alliance has unveiled China's inaugural group standard dedicated to enhancing the security of agent applications within the financial realm, titled 'Security Requirements for Financial Applications of Agent Technology'. This standard unequivocally mandates that third-party agents must secure dual authorization—from both users and financial institutions—prior to operating financial apps. Developed collaboratively by numerous institutions, this standard encompasses a broad spectrum of security requirements. Previously, the absence of targeted regulations led to instances where AI mobile assistants triggered anomalies in financial apps. As agents find increasing application in financial scenarios, the risks associated with their high-privilege operations have steadily come under scrutiny. It is anticipated that by 2026, multiple departments will roll out pertinent policies and standard plans. Presently, several terminal-side manufacturers have recalibrated their technical strategies to ensure that all operations receive approval from application providers.
