At a recent industry conference, Alipay unveiled an upgrade to its AI payment framework, transitioning from a model of simple “payability” to one of “trustworthy payment.” Central to this evolution is the introduction of the AI Wallet Agent, designed to oversee and streamline AI-driven transactions. Alongside this, Alipay has enhanced its AI payment product suite by incorporating three major “AI Collection” features—Vibe Pay, Skill Pay, and Machine Pay—while also expanding into new use cases, such as AI-based recurring purchases. Leveraging Ant Group’s proprietary APASS commercial trust infrastructure, Alipay’s AI payment system establishes a comprehensive trust mechanism grounded in the KYA (Know Your Agent) principle. This framework ensures reliability and transparency at every stage of the transaction process. Currently, Alipay’s AI payment capabilities are bridging the gap between the digital and physical commerce realms, with the launch of multiple innovative payable products. For instance, robotic dogs are now capable of autonomously completing the entire purchasing process on behalf of users. According to Alipay’s data, metrics related to agent-based purchasing tasks have seen a significant surge, positioning payment as a trustworthy commitment engine and foundational infrastructure for AI-driven commerce. Furthermore, Alipay and Ant International offer a one-stop global business operating system, empowering Chinese companies to expand their presence worldwide. This initiative is fueling the development of a new commercial infrastructure tailored to the demands of the AI-powered economy.
