On September 10, at the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade, the 2026 Future Investment Conference featured a dedicated panel discussion on artificial intelligence (AI) and investment in new industrialization. Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of 01.AI and Chairman of Sinovation Ventures, remarked that AI is evolving from merely providing answers to executing tasks, coordinating workflows, and supporting decision-making processes. Its influence on businesses now reaches organizational and managerial strata. He underscored that genuine transformation must be initiated by top-level leadership, which involves dismantling information silos, reallocating resources, and integrating AI into core business functions and strategic considerations.
Drawing on the example of intelligent agents in corporate management and investment analysis, Lee highlighted how AI can aid managers in risk identification, evidence organization, and decision-making enhancement. However, he stressed that the ultimate judgment and accountability must rest with humans. “AI cannot assume responsibility,” he emphasized.
