On September 7, news emerged indicating that Samsung Electronics is ramping up efforts to develop a prototype for a humanoid robot. The tech giant aims to debut its self-developed humanoid robot for the first time at CES 2027, scheduled for January 2027. This ambitious project falls under the direct supervision of Samsung's co-CEO Roh Tae-moon, who is also overseeing both the AI software and hardware development aspects. Furthermore, Samsung has secured numerous related patents and is working in tandem with its subsidiary, Rainbow Robotics, to push forward the research and development of this cutting-edge technology.
