AliExpress Brand+, a subsidiary of Alibaba, made a striking presence at IFA, Europe's premier consumer electronics exhibition, by featuring nine prominent Chinese brands. This achievement marks AliExpress Brand+ as the inaugural platform among the "Four Little Dragons Going Global" to join this elite global showcase. This strategic move propels its evolution from a mere "merchandise sales channel" to a dynamic "new epicenter for brand globalization." By August, AliExpress had already secured brand penetration rates surpassing 50% in 11 countries. Furthermore, its sales in the AI hardware sector experienced a remarkable year-on-year doubling from January to July. During the exhibition, Brand+ unveiled three significant capability enhancements: firstly, it will broaden its omnichannel marketing efforts to encompass emerging markets like the United States, South Korea, and Brazil; secondly, it will democratize access to AI operational tools to aid in product curation, pricing strategies, and the creation of multilingual content; thirdly, it will finalize the expansion of its European warehousing and logistics network, with the German official warehouse slated to open in mid-September, a move anticipated to slash warehousing and logistics expenses by 10%.
