Google Translate has upgraded its real-time translation feature. The iOS version now includes earpiece playback, allowing iPhone users to listen to real-time translations by simply holding the phone close to their ear, without the need for speaker mode or connecting headphones. The latest Android version supports continuous background operation for real-time translation, ensuring uninterrupted translation even when other apps are opened or the screen is locked. Previously, over one-third of real-time translation sessions lasted more than 5 minutes, requiring users to keep Google Translate in the foreground to avoid interruptions.
