A startup called Operation Bluebird, founded by a former Twitter legal advisor, launched a new platform aimed at reshaping the Twitter experience and introducing an AI fact-checking system, but was sued by X platform. The U.S. Federal Court in Delaware preliminarily ruled that it is prohibited from using the 'Twitter' trademark, but is allowed to use the 'Tweet' trademark and the bird logo. The company has since renamed its platform to 'Tweet.app' and made it available, while charging users a $20 fee for setting usernames to cover litigation costs. The case will continue to be heard to determine X's legitimate rights to other Twitter-related trademarks.
